Your Task
Using both: Golman’s Model and the two of six Genos (2018) Emotional Intelligence (EI) domains of selfawareness and self-management, students are to write an EI Self-Reflective Essay. To enrich their selfreflection, students should use 1 of the 5 EI tools discussed in week 2.
Assessment Description
In Weeks 1-5, students have familiarised themselves with two models of EI: Goleman and Genos.
In this Self-Reflective essay, students need to analyse their results of the EI Genos test by relating it to the theories discussed in weeks 1 to 5 by focusing on Self-Awareness and Self-Management in both Models (Goleman and Genos). In addition, students need to demonstrate how the practice of 1 of the 5 EI tools from week 2 (either mindfulness or journaling or gratitude or strength spotting or meditation app) have increased their self-awareness and self-management. Finally, students are to reflect on any implications of their increased EI in their future career as professionals.
