Assessment Description
The assessment requires the generation of insight following the application of analytics tools. This insight is to be captured in a Word document answering 3 questions (Parts A,B&C)

Students will need to have access to infographic software(either Power BIorTableau) to answer this assessment.
Assessment Overview
Part A: Data Analysis and Descriptive Analytics (500 words& visualisations,15marks)
You are provided a data file containing characteristics relating to the exercise tracking of gym members.
You are to undertake descriptive analytics using the data file provided. The column headings are largely self-explanatory and can be further understood with a little research.
A Word report is to be completed with visualizations created in the infographic software of your choice – either Power BI or Tableau.
The following questions are to be answered for the dataset provided:
Generate summary statistics for 3 of the variables in the dataset, supported by visualisations. Provide a few paragraphs interpreting this data.
Use these summary statistics to develop a persona (a profile of a customer based on data) for both male and female gym members using the data provided. Provide a few paragraphs interpreting these personas
Generate 3 visualisations using the data provided with interpretation and insights of the visualisations produced and why you have produced these visualisations.
Identify which variables are positively correlated to “Experience Level” (3 is most experienced),along with supporting data. Provide an interpretation of the variable scor related with “Experience Level”. This interpretation of the data includes what are the characteristics of experienced gym members.
Explain how you have dealt with cells containing missing data.
Part B:Data Management (300 words, 6 marks)
Please answer the following questions
Generate a data dictionary for the gym data in part A
Explain whether you would store the gym data from part A in a Data Ware house, Data Hub or Data Lake. Provide a rationale for your decision.
Discuss the benefits of cloud storage for the gym data.
You will need to conduct independent research and consult resources provided in this subject. You must reference at least 1 slide from the course notes.
Part C:Leadership and organization of Analytics staff (400 words - 9 Marks)

In your own words, write a short paragraph(not dot points)on the benefits of an analytics-centric organization and characteristics of good analytics leadership.
In your own words, write a short paragraph(not dot points)comparing centralized versus decentralized ways of organizing analytics staff and the advantages and disadvantages of each one.
In your own words, write a short paragraph(not dot points)on how you would assess analytics capability in an organisation, considering recent developments in analytics.
“In your own words ”means minimal reliance on AI generated content.
You will need to conduct independent research and consult resources provided in this subject.You must reference at least 1 slide from the course notes.
Appropriate use of Generative AI
The use of Gen AI is optional for parts of this assessment. Your collaboration with Generative AI must be clearly referenced just as you would reference any other resource type used.
In addition, you must include an appendix that documents your Generative AI collaboration including all prompts and responses used for the assessment.
A penalty will be awarded if any part of the assessment is deemed by the assess or where it shows an over-reliance on AI-generated content in your answer. There needs to be a demonstration of original thought.
