All submissions must be submitted with assigned Ozford Institute of Higher Education Cover Sheet via Moodle. Late submissions will attract a penalty of 5% of the assessment weighting for each calendar day late unless the lecturer grants an extension.

This assessment task is designed to provide students an opportunity to demonstrate their written communication skills by writing a report (in a long report format). The report extends the research and presentation made for Assessment 2.This means that the subject matter will be the same as used in your presentation. However,the scope of your report will provide more depth and detail.

Requirements

• You will undertake sufficient research to gain a broad understanding of the business operation, and all issues and potential solutions associated with the consequences of Artificial Intelligence.
• Based on the company and industry you presented for Assessment 2, provide a detailed report of the consequences of Artificial Intelligence to your job function as either the Marketing Director, Customer Service Director, Human Resources Director or IT and Security Director.
• In analysing the macro economy of your company and one other competitor within the same industry, report how Artificial Intelligence affects your job function in any two of the following options:
  • The changed need for new product/service development,
  • Job loss or new job scope(s),
  • financial efficiency, cost savings or financial loss,
  • new methods of marketing and communication channels,
  • new operational processes and Code of Conduct
  • Cyber security laws and policies

Each analysis must be supported by atleast TWO peer-reviewed articles OR the textbooks. This suggests EIGHT references for this section of your report.

• As a follow-upto your presentation, provide more detail about your job function’s corporate strategy by:
  • Comparing two practices and behaviours that will forever be discarded,
  • Describing one change that will continue and,
  • Analyzing the‘ new normal ’for your organizational functions.

Each corporate strategy must be supported by atleast ONE peer-reviewed article OR the textbooks. This suggests FOUR references for this section.

• Provide a conclusion of how Artificial Intelligence has changed your job functions and the company. As a result of the changes, recommend a possible Call to Action for the company’s CEO and stakeholders.
• Use the Australian Harvard style 1 of referencing for in-text citations as well as a reference list on the last page with sources organized alphabetically. The Style Manual can be found at https://www.stylemanual. gov.au/referencing-and-attribution/author-date

Format

• There port must contain all the elements of a formal report, including:
  • Title page–with author’s names, who the report is for, and the date submitted
  • Executive Summary –summary of the completed report
  • Table of Contents–all sections and pages must be numbered
  • Introduction–background to the topic, scope of report,methodology used
  • ‘Body’ of the report–to contain appropriately named sections and sub-sections(do not use the term‘body’),the discussion should progress in a logical order,supported by the correct use of paragraphs
  • Graphs, tables and illustrations – at least one illustration (correctly referenced, if not your own work) and one table or graph (correctly referenced if appropriate)
  • Conclusions and recommendations
  • List of References
  • Appendix–inclusion of data used,and any items authors believe should be included in their entirety but necessarily in the body of the report
• The assignment must be in MS Word format,1.5 spacing,11-pt Calibri (Body) font and 2 cm margins on all four sides of your page with appropriate section headings.
• All sources of information must be cited in the text of the report and referenced appropriately at the end in a reference list using the Australian Harvard referencing style.
• You will be assessed on how well you have mentioned the aim of the report,how well you have reviewed the relevant literature, whether you have used correct formatting, your spelling and grammar skills, your writing style, evidence of proofreading and whether you have used correct referencing (both ‘in-text’ and ‘end-text’).
