The purpose of this individual assessment is to enable you to develop an understanding of the Australian private health care sector.

 

Assessment Instructions

 

The Australian health care sector is based on the principle that all its citizens and permanent residents have universal and equal access to medical services. The system is based on a mixed model of public and private sectors, and today it is estimated that just under 50% of the Australian population have private health care.

 

Your presentation should be no more than 5 minutes long and contain no more than 10 slides that assist in understanding the findings presented. Areas covered should include:

 

1. Introduction that is engaging and captures your audience. 2. Brief overview of the Australian healthcare system 3. Discussion on the benefits private healthcare offers the Australian Government and consumers. 4. A critical analysis and diagnosis of the challenges facing both the private healthcare sector and private health insurance providers. 5. Assessment Submission

 

Students are encouraged to submit their work well before the deadline to avoid technical difficulties. Late assignment submission penalties

 

Penalties will be imposed on late assignment submissions in accordance with Kaplan Business School “late assignment submission penalties” policy.

After 14 daysAssignments that are submitted more than 14 calendar days after the due date will not be accepted, and the student will receive a mark of zero for the assignment(s).
