The Assignment
It is underscored that teachers have the responsibility to engage in continuous reflective practice as the principal means of improving and sustaining effective didactic practices. Learning and teaching are inextricably intertwined. The principal objective of education is learning, and the means used to fulfil this aim is teaching. Considering that these two phenomena are inseparable, it can therefore be deduced that teaching must be carried out for learning to take place. In light of the afore-mentioned, students are required to consider the role of critical reflection for early childhood teachers as they observe, plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children. Drawing on theoretical perspectives presented in the lectures and tutorials the essay should discuss how reflective practice supports your experience of developing knowledge and skills as you work towards the goal of becoming an effective early childhood teacher.
