For this assignment, you will develop an evaluation plan for a real public health program: the Every Moment Matters campaign (https://everymomentmatters.org.au/).
Every Moment Matters is a nation-wide Australian health promotion campaign supporting alcohol-free pregnancies and safe breastfeeding practices. The campaign provides health information about how alcohol use during pregnancy can lead to a preventable disability known as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), as well as increasing the risk of miscarriage, stillbirth, premature birth, and low birth weight. Funded by the Australian Government, the campaign is being delivered by Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE), and is running across TV, radio, and digital channels.
In your assignment, you will work through the steps of evaluation planning, to propose a hypothetical evaluation plan for this program.
This is a real-world example, but you are not restricted in what you include in the program logic or in the evaluation plan.
ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENTS
Word count: 2000 words (excluding references, appendices, and tables)
Deadline: Sunday 1 September, 11.59pm
Extension requests: due by Friday 30 August, 5pm
You should structure your written submission around steps for evaluation planning that you have learned about in Module 1. Please be explicit about which framework you are drawing on.
Your assignment should follow this below structure:
Introduction:
Provide an outline of the framework to evaluation planning you are using, and a brief introduction to the topic of the program.
Steps of evaluation planning:
Use each step as a sub-heading.
You should ensure that you have included:
A logic model describing the program
Information about stakeholder engagement
A table describing your proposed evaluation design (including key questions, and methods)
See the assessment rubric below for more guidance.
Please write your evaluation plan as an initial proposal, subject to amendment based on stakeholder engagement. Present your plan as a starting point for the evaluation planning discussions.
Other notes:
You do not need a detailed budget for either the program or evaluation.
Evaluation steps relating to data collection, analysis, and evaluation dissemination can be relatively brief.
Youmust cite any sources and references used to inform your plan. You can use Vancouver, Harvard, or APA referencing styles, but please be consistent and accurate. Referencing Guides are available here: https://www.adelaide.edu.au/library/referencing-support
