Task 1 – Analyse the requirements for the web document
Part a
Determine the necessary dynamic functionality of the web document, ICTWEB411 Produce basic client-side script for dynamic web pages IT the appropriate language to achieve that functionality and the web document requirements. Consult with the CEO (trainer) and take notes below:
Part b
Write a report to analyse in detail all the requirements identified in part a and attach your report at the end of this booklet.
Task 2 – Design and produce the web document
Part a
Design the web document, and embedded scripts to achieve the required functionality. Write a simple hypertext markup language (HTML), considering accessibility and write embedded scripts. Ensure you cover all the requirements identified in Task 1.
Attach a screenshot of your document that shows you have completed Task 2 and attach it at the end of this booklet.
Task 3 – Test the scripts and debug
Part a
Test the web document against the required functionality, and reiterate until correct.
Take notes of how you will test the web document and provided screenshots of your testing.
Part b
Complete all your documentation and submit it to the CEO for their approval.
Task 4 – Knowledge Test
Answer the questions below with as much detail as possible.
1. Discuss the basic principles behind open platform programming
2. Describe client-side scripting and its application to dynamic web page design, including:
events and event handlers
internet operation related to servers and clients
internet protocols
standard generalised markup language (SGML)
associated standards
3. Identify and outline, security restrictions on servers
4. Describe the difference between server-side and client-side scripting
5. Describe the standards associated with programming documentation.
