Your first task is to evaluate the ICT needs of Ransford College. You will need to follow and complete the tasks below. ICTICT510 Determine Appropriate ICT Strategies and Solutions IT.
a. Firstly, you will need to conduct an analysis process to determine 1. Ransford’s current needs and 2. Ransford’s projected ICT requirements. Read the scenario and use the table provided to record your analysis.
b. Your next step, in order to evaluate the ICT needs of the organisation, is to review Ransford’s organisational environment and research and describe relevant industry changes and trends. Use the space below to record your findings.
c. Now you need to determine Ransford’s ICT goals, objectives and future requirements, prepare this information and submit it to your CEO (trainer) to determine scope and sign off.
Your second task is to contribute to the development of the project goals and objectives.
a. Firstly, you will need to determine the project scope according to the agreed brief. Use the table provided to assist you with this step.
b. Now you will need to align Ransford’s overall goals (for example to increase the quality of education, attract new markets etc. – your CEO/trainer will brief you in regard to the overall goals) with the ICT goals and determine the impact that the new changes will have on the organisation. Use the space below to provide an explanation of how you will achieve that. b. c. Finally, you will need to document the project, goals and impact of changes according to Ransford’s organisational requirements. To appropriately document all the information gathered in your second task, you will develop a report. In your report you should include the following:

Introduction (Provide a basic understanding of the report and answer the questions who, why, what, when and where)
Overview (Summary of the project purpose, scope and objective)
Body (Background of the project, project planning stage, outcome, impact)
Your final task is to determine the best ICT systems solutions for Ransford.
a. Research, describe and evaluate two (2) different ICT systems solutions in the table provided below. For each ICT system you will need to provide information regarding the hardware, software, data and the people who will use them in the organisation.
b. You will also need to develop a feasibility study and a cost benefit analysis of the proposed solution. Follow the instructions below to complete this step.
In your feasibility study you should include:
An executive summary
Description of the ICT systems solution
Human resource needs
Tasks and Timeframes (Gantt Chart)
Cost – benefit analysis (CBA)
In your cost – benefit analysis you should include:
Goals and objectives of the project
Costs (direct and indirect costs, intangible costs, opportunity costs, costs of potential risks)
Benefits (direct and indirect revenues)
Comparison between costs and benefits
When you finalise your feasibility study and your CBA, forward it to you CEO (trainer) for approval and sign off.

Question 9 – List and explain two (2) client business requirements in relation to your proposed ICT solution (from Task 3).
