BUSA8090 Assignment 2- Visualisation Task
 

Individual submission to iLearn A Zipped file which includes

1. Your .R visualisation files or tableau workbook (part A)
2. A report including all the screenshots of your visualization works and related explanations (part A) + 3 points of discussion (part B)

This assessment has two parts:

Part A: Practical work Part B: Report writing

In Assignment 2, students are provided with a CSV file, which contains detailed information on 1,137 earthquakes from around the world. Students are permitted to choose either R or Tableau to attain the required visualisation tasks. Please complete the task below:

• Decision making visualisation: students are required to do any Five visualisations which can be used as predictive analytics to improve decision making for Director of Emergency Response and Disaster Management.

Please include each visualisation work as a figure into your report, following by a concise description.

Part B - Write 1200/ 1500 words report to discuss the following task  Total marks 15

1. Describe the four stages of the data analytics process for data governance. Conduct research on how data governance is managed in large organizations or corporations and explain how effective governance can enhance data visualization.
2. Ethics plays a crucial role in data visualization. Discuss and apply three ethical principles you have adhered to, and explain how they are relevant to data visualization practices in the industry.
3. Discuss Task A visualisation and provide sufficient justification on the prediction (depending on the structural organization of the report, the discussion of the visualization can be done in parallel with each of the graphs inserted in part A).
